Make An Appointment
Catterick Village Health Centre:
Whenever possible the doctor will see you in surgery by appointment which can be made by telephoning the receptionist on 01748 811475 between 8.00am and 5.30pm. They will give you details of the first available appointment or will arrange an appointment time to suit you from those available. Genuinely urgent cases will always be seen on the same day but please be prepared to wait as you will be seen in addition to those who have an appointment. If you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, as your cancellation frees an appointment for someone else to potentially use.
Colburn Surgery:
An appointment system also operates at Colburn Surgery. Please telephone 01748 830500, if possible in the morning between 8.30am to 10.00am, to make an appointment.
Urgent cases will always be seen on the same day.
Please do not telephone for appointments before 8.30am, after 5.30pm or at weekends.
There are no Saturday or Sunday morning surgeries. In cases of emergency, please ring 01748 811475 and your call will be put through to the Out of Hours service.
We also offer an online service for ordering prescriptions and booking appointments. Please contact the surgery to register for online services. Proof of identification is required.
‘Care navigation’ for our patients
A new signposting process called ‘Care Navigation’ is being introduced in our GP practice to help you see the right person, in order to get the right care, in the most appropriate place and first time.
When you next phone for an appointment to see your GP, you may be invited to share details of why you think you need to see a GP.
Please be assured that you do not have to share this information if you would prefer not to. It simply helps the practice to better understand your needs and make sure you are seeing the most appropriate professional for your care or treatment.
All our staff take patient confidentiality extremely seriously, therefore any information you share will not be shared with anyone else.
If you do not wish to give this information, you will not be denied an appointment with your GP.
If you have any concerns, please get in touch with us.

Home Visits
Requests for home visits should be made by 10.00am whenever possible and should be requested only when the patient is too ill to be brought to the surgery. If in doubt please ring for advice - during surgery hours. For Catterick Village Health Centre patients should telephone 01748 811475 and, for Colburn Surgery, 01748 830500. Outside of surgery hours please ring 01748 811475.
Please give details of the patient's name, age, address and telephone number. Please also give the receptionist a description of the problem as this helps the doctor to assess the urgency of the visit.
To help us get there as soon as possible please ensure your house number or name is easily visible from the road at night. If you know your house is difficult to locate, please give clear instructions.
